Austin, TX

Welcome to my universe

I'm Uguumur, a creative engineer in Austin. 10+ years of software: backend first, then UI, UX and frontend for the last five, and now LLM features in real products. I also love good tech, Tesla for one. From here, four paths lead to my work, education, projects and hobbies.

Work

FirstPickLabs

2025 to now

Senior Software Engineer (Web & Mobile)

A fantasy sports app I architected and built from scratch in Flutter for iOS and Android, live NFL scoring streamed over Azure Web PubSub, Stripe subscriptions, and a drag-and-drop league dashboard.

Nest Education

2022 to 2023

Senior Full-Stack Developer

QPay and SocialPay QR payments across web and mobile, instant payment confirmation over WebSockets, and a wallet taken from no tests to 98% coverage. I also mentored junior engineers.

Oyu Tolgoi (Rio Tinto)

2019 to 2021

Software Developer, Rio Tinto

A copper mine in Mongolia's Gobi desert, with both an open pit and an underground mine. I built real-time underground cage tracking and a blast-acknowledgment workflow, on microservices with Docker and Kubernetes. Won the Oyu Tolgoi AI Pitch Competition in 2019 and the OTProud Recognition Award in 2021.

Dentsu Data Artist Mongol

2018 to 2019

Senior Software Engineer

The AI and data engineering arm of Dentsu Digital in Japan, based in Ulaanbaatar. I built an ML model in TensorFlow.js that detects fake URLs with 90%+ accuracy, and automated crawling of 300+ websites.

Interactive BI

2015 to 2018

Software Engineer, then Senior Software Engineer

Where it started. Interactive BI builds ERP and financial software, including point of sale. I wrote a FIFO profit module for a point-of-sale system, then built a loan-management system for a non-bank lender in Java EE, .NET and MSSQL.

Projects

Herogy

In progress

Gym app

A gym trainer that predicts each workout, and an RPG hero that shows your real progress. Native on iOS and Android, reading HealthKit and Health Connect, and offline-first because the gym has no signal.

A fully AI workforce

In progress

Long-term goal

My long-term goal is a company staffed by AI, with only a few humans in control, running every step as efficiently and cheaply as possible. Herogy is the test bed: specs first, and cheaper models only take tasks a test can check.

Hobbies

Music

YouTube and Instagram

I play guitar and piano, and a little drums. The guitar is on YouTube and Instagram, and I'm using AI to experiment with how the channels grow.

Microduck

Next up

A robot to train

Next up: a Microduck, a small walking robot. I want to train it myself and put it in my Instagram guitar posts.

Sport bikes

Motorcycles

I ride motorcycles, and sport bikes are my kind: the Suzuki GSX-8R, the Yamaha R7, the Honda CBR650.

Workout and swim

Gym and pool

I work out and I swim. The gym also shows up in my projects: Herogy is the app I'm building for it.

Flying, one day

On my list

I want to become a small airplane pilot, and I want to try skydiving. Neither has happened yet.

Talks and builds

Planned

YouTube

A side hobby: talking through tech and building things on camera.
